CAROL ARCHERY
BOWS

ENGLISH LONGBOWS
These are all made to the requirements of the British Long-Bow Society for taking part in their tournaments. Of course these bows are also used for Field Archery, Clout and Roving Marks. In fact, the English Longbow is the ONLY bow that can be used in every type of archery. I only sell bows by top-class bowmakers; 'bespoke' bows can be made to order, and I also carry a variety of specifications in stock.
Being an experienced longbow archer myself, I specialises in matching bow to archer, and arrow to bow.
Give me a phone call to discuss your order, or arrange to meet me at my workshop.

So, Thinking of Buying a Longbow?

(Or any kind of Traditional Bow, come to that)

At my workshop you may try the bows I sell, and only when you and I are sure of how it shoots for you will you be asked to hand over your 'Luscious Lolly'!

Over the last few years a lot of archers, especially, but not only , begginers, have been given 'unsound advice. This has very often resulted in 'over-bowed' archers and a lot of very preventable injuries.

When looking to buy a bow, be sure you can try it out - before parting with your hard earned cash - to be certain it is the correct weight for YOU

Just because the person selling you the bow only has an 80lb-er in stock doesn't mean it is right for YOU!!!!

It is now possible to buy a lot of 'untried' archery equipment from the internet very easily and 'on the cheap'.

IS IT?

As the saying goes..."you gets what you pays for'!

For your own safety PLEASE be very careful. There are a lot of would be 'bow-makers' (and arrow makers) out there who have made one or two and are now "World Wide Experts"! Usually from 'reading' someone else's 'how to' book!

The bowyers I use have all been making bows for over 20 years. I would not tarnish my own reputation by selling you a bow that was not suitable and the correct draw weight.

If I don't think its right for you you will not be handing over the 'plastic'!

So! Bearing all the above in mind, the bowmakers who supply me include:

BOYTON ARCHERY From £450
Chris has been making top quality bows for over 30 years, both laminated and 'self' yew bows, from light drawweights (20lb) to over 100lb for those determined to simulate the achievements of the medieval military archer.

SYLVAN ARCHERY From £385
